Virogard P2 Respitory Flu Mask - S/M Sample Box of 10: The Virogard P2 Respirator Mask is a fabric mask that meets the higher filtration standards of a respirator whilst remaining comfortable and with the added advantage of the Virogard antimicrobial fabric treatment. The respirator complies with Standard AS/NZS 1716 (P2) and in conformity with that Standard must be disposed of after each occasion of use. Apart from the high quality materials and workmanship incorporated in their manufacture, the key difference with Virogard masks lies in their antimicrobial action. Both outer and inner layers of fabric are treated with a proprietary antimicrobial polymer coating that kills viruses and bacteria ON CONTACT. This unique coating is entirely non-hazardous to humans – it contains neither heavy metals nor nano particles – and is effective for the life of the fabric. Treated material has been shown to be effective against Influenza Type A (the family to which pandemic Influenza varieties such as H5N1 and H1N1 belong) as well as a number of test bacteria such as e-Coli and Golden Staph. The antimicrobial action survives both washing and hot ironing.
